Bailiffs Cottage

The Farm

The farm has benefitted from extensive and sympathetic renovation also and is sensitively managed with a continuing programme of works including hedge-laying and re-introducing traditional Exmoor wooden gates. Tens of thousands of indigenous trees have been planted. The land is grazed by over 300 sheep, primarily local Exmoor Horns, together with goats, llamas and ponies. Unusually, the farm has no public access and so guests can enjoy their stay knowing that they are not going to bump into anyone else.

Wildlife is deliberately encouraged and many red deer frequent the farm.

This is a tranquil, relaxing and life-enhancing place.
